Mary Lauren Pfieffer, DNP, FNP-BC

Mary Lauren Pfeiffer completed her BSN at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville. After this, she worked at Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital in the Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit. She then went to Vanderbilt University for her MSN degree and became a Family Nurse Practitioner. She completed her DNP from The University of Tennessee-Knoxville. While at UTK she also pursued a Post-Master’s in Nursing Education. 

She taught first at Lipscomb University where she was the course coordinator for the pediatric portion of the BSN curriculum. Mary Lauren Pfieffer is currently teaching at Vanderbilt University School of Nursing and her primary teaching responsibilities are in the Family Nurse Practitioner Program. She is a member and on the boards of Sigma Theta International and Tennessee Nurses Association.

Mary Lauren has practiced in the area since 2010 and recently moved to Cool Springs Internal Medicine & Pediatrics Clinic in July 2023. She is married and has three young kids!
