Peyton grew up in Brentwood, Tennessee, being a born-and-raised Tennessee Volunteer. She graduated from UT Knoxville with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and focus in Marriage and Family Studies. She worked at Summit Medical Center as an Emergency Department Registered Nurse until she made the decision to further her nursing career. When graduating from Belmont University as a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner, Peyton was awarded a doctor of nursing practice degree for her research on mental illness stigma in hopes of improving the future provision of mental and emotional health care in the primary care setting. She is a member of both the Tennessee Nurses Association and Sigma Theta Tau, the international honor society of nursing. Peyton is thrilled to serve the members of her hometown at Cool Springs Internal Medicine & Pediatrics with the amazing group of healthcare providers.
