In an Emergency
Urgent calls requiring the attention of a physician are returned as soon as possible. However, please note that if you or your child is experiencing a life-threatening situation, call 911 immediately.
Urgent, Non-Emergencies that Can’t Wait for an Appointment
Come to our Walk-In Clinic! Our Walk-In Clinic services are available on a non-appointment basis. When you come to the clinic, the first available practitioner will see you. All patients are welcome, both our established patients as well as non-established patients with Cool Springs & North Franklin Internal Medicine and Pediatrics.
Established CSIMP Patients With Urgent Needs
Urgent and sick calls are handled by your primary care provider’s nurses, who are trained to help you with acute needs. Call our office and select the option for your provider’s nurse line. Urgent calls will be returned by the end of the same business day. Non-urgent or refill related calls will be returned within 72 hours. Please note that leaving multiple messages will result in a longer than normal response time.
If you or your child is experiencing a life-threatening situation, call 911 immediately.
Urgent After-Hours Calls
After 6pm Monday-Friday and on weekends, clinic lines are forwarded to the physician on call. A physician is on call to handle urgent matters only.
Calls regarding routine medical matters and prescription refills should be handled during regular business hours.
We are open on Saturday from 8am-1pm and Sunday from 8am-1pm for urgent care visits!
Prescription Refills
In order to have your prescription refill made in the most efficient manner, Cool Springs and North Franklin Internal Medicine & Pediatrics, PLLC, strongly recommends you call your pharmacy and ask them to fax a refill request to our office. Be prepared by having the following information for the drug you need refilled:
- Name
- Dosage level
- Frequency taken
Please plan ahead and allow at least 72 hours for refills to be made. If after hours, we ask that you do not page the doctor on call: please call back during regular office hours. Additionally, prescriptions for new medications are generally not given over the telephone.
