About Dr. Edmondson
Dr. Edmondson grew up in Middle Tennessee, near Clarksville, Tennessee. Dr. Edmondson received a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville, and later his medical degree from the University of Tennessee-Memphis College of Medicine. It was at this university where he was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha, the medical honor society. He completed the combined Internal Medicine and Pediatrics residency program at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, in 1997.
Dr. Edmondson is a founding member of Cool Springs Internal Medicine & Pediatrics Clinic since 1997, and he has been caring for children and adults of all ages in Brentwood since then. Dr. Edmondson is actively involved in medical student and resident education, and he was the recipient of the 2004 “Preceptor of the Year” award at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. Dr. Edmondson has spoken as a lecturer and panelist as faculty at national meetings for the American College of Physicians as well as the American Academy of Pediatrics. Furthermore, Dr. Edmondson is board certified by both the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Pediatrics.
He lives in Brentwood with his wife, and ventures out of town occasionally for adventures in hiking, scuba diving, and traveling to meet people of other cultures.
