About Dr. Rickard

Dr. Rickard grew up in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, in a family that consisted of two physician parents. Dr. Rickard received her Bachelor’s of Science in Biology at Duke University, where she graduated magna cum laude. She was also included into Phi Beta Kappa. Dr. Rickard then came back to Tennessee, where she graduated from Vanderbilt University Medical School in 2007.

Dr. Rickard completed a combined residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at Vanderbilt in 2011. She is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Pediatrics. In August 2011, she joined Cool Springs Internal Medicine and Pediatrics, PLLC, and she loves taking care of all members of a family and cultivating a relationship with each patient. She was featured in Medical Professionals in April 2020, Nashville, a magazine about the local medical community.

She enjoys spending time with her daughter in her free time, as well as reading, practicing yoga, hiking, baking, and cheering for Duke.
